Our first Halloween in Alexandria. We were so scared by some of the cuties who came for the goodies. In fact we had so many scares, we ran out of candy and had to bum some off the neighbors. These were our first Halloween visitors in years. Prior apartment living in DC did not attract any trick-or-treaters, perhaps because the main door to the building was locked to non-residents. At our old place in Bellingham, a long, dark driveway seemed to deter most kids (and parents) from venturing into the haunted shadows that led to the front door. So I always ended up eating all the candy myself, poor me. But this year, we are in trick-or-treat central and we must have had a hundred kids come knocking. Cuties one and all.
Loved these costumes. |
