Little Seneca Lake Redux (MD)

Six days after our first kayaking visit to Black Hills, we returned with plenty of time to explore (August 30). We spent several hours tracking in and out of the various narrow arms of the reservoir, spotting a dozen or more turtles on logs, gaggles of Canada geese and a lone green heron that posed for us in the mud while I snapped his portrait about fifty times. This will be a great spring trip, so we’ll try to return then.
