European Embassy Day in DC

At the British Embassy.

The embassies along Embassy Row near Dupont Circle are a big tourist attraction around here, especially during open house time.  In 2012, the European Union Open House Day was May 12 and we spent a good part of the day roaming from one country’s digs to another.  The architecture (inside and out) is a primary draw, but the British Embassy goes all out with information booths, good eats and tours of the grounds.  Denmark’s was fun also, with some interesting photos of life in the home country.  And we can’t forget Croatia, too, from whence Kris’ clan has some roots.  The chandelier was pretty cool too.
