Loch Raven and Baltimore (MD)

Loch Raven (Baltimore's water supply).
On June 23rd, we headed for the Latin Festival and assorted whatevers in Baltimore.  The plan included a stop-off at Loch Raven for an easy hike I’d googled upon.  The trail, such as it was, snaked through the woods a bit then a right fork led to the lakeshore and a suitable lunch spot.  A patient dragonfly hung out in the bushes while we ate, although I scared him off with my camera several times.  Oddly, he kept returning and landing on the same little twig, his apparent outpost from which to ogle all the other dragonflies that might be motoring by.  That turned out to be one of the more interesting moments all day.  In Baltimore, the Latin fest was okay and affordable, but seemed to be a lot about strolling past booths full of stuff, pausing to look at stuff or to buy stuff then stuffing yourself with tasty stuff, with a little music and stuff tossed in to jazz it up.  We arrived a bit late, so maybe we missed the more exciting stuff.  We won’t write it off quite yet and will hope for a somewhat bigger bang for our five bucks next time.
